I have to admit that I absolutely love the seasons that we have in the UK! When I started my golfing career on the LPGA Tour which originally was played mostly in the U.S.A. The Tour tended to follow the sun, which meant that the tournaments moved across America and we were almost always playing in warm or hot weather. The thing that I missed most about the UK was the changing seasons and especially the Winter and those clear bright Winter days when you got wrapped up and were outside during the day and then came inside took layers of clothing off and warmed up inside.
So I’ve never been a person who suffers from the shorter days and being indoors for much of the Winter. Maybe it’s something to do with being a “Winter” baby! Having said that I’ve also been spoilt over the years as I’ve always had a golf trip somewhere warmer to look forward to! If you haven’t booked anything yet and want to get a holiday in your diary to look forward to, we are once again returning to Fuerteventura in late February and then to Turkey in April. We still have a few places left, so do go to Hole 3 if you might be interested in escaping with us early in 2025!
